Avengers Membership:

Infiltrator turned recruit. The Mandarin faked a message from Iron Man nominating Swordsman for Avengers membership in Avengers (1st series) #20. Swordsman returned to villainy after this scam failed, but surprisingly answered a call for Avengers to assemble in #100. He was sponsored for valid membership in the team by Thor and accepted in #114.

Notes:

Swordsman III was Andreas von Strucker, IV an unknown villain. Swordswoman of Euroforce is the daughter of Duquesne.

Jacques Duquesne's real name was revealed in Solo Avengers #22. It was suggested he was descended from the World War I French hero Crimson Cavalier of the Freedom's Five. However, later stories revealed the Cavalier's last name was Batroc, implying Batroc the Leaper was his descendant. It remains possible that both men come from the same lineage.
