Written by Mark Waid, the title was a spinoff from All-New, All-Different Avengers (also written by Waid) and united youthful super-heroes into a "young Avenger"-like team.
The initial characters were Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan), Miles Morales, the young, time-jumped Cyclops (from All-New X-Men), the Adamadeus Cho Hulk (from Totally Awesome Hulk), Vivian (daughter of the Vision) and the young Nova (Sam Alexander). Other youthful characters would join, though these characters would remain the most constant.
