Brief Description:

Wolverine is heavily injured in the small ship’s explosion but manages to hold onto the larger ship’s hull and gets inside. He doesn’t know where to go when he reaches three elevator shafts and hits an AIM agent until he tells him which one to take. Armed with a sixpack of beer, he takes that shaft, only to land next to a MODOK mainframe, meaning it was definitely the wrong choice.

Full Summary:

The small AIM vessel is destroyed in the explosion and Wolverine is heavily injured as well, but nonetheless he holds onto the hull of the dreadnought for dear life. He manages to claw his way inside.

An AIM agent inside fires at him but Wolverine just slaps him aside. He isn’t in the mood, he announcers. He hesitates as he reaches three elevators, then hits the AIM agent who tried to sneak up on him.

He points at a box next to the right door and asks for the code. The AIM agent scoffs, he doesn’t even know what that is, then gives him the code: 4290.

As Wolverine enters the code, he replies it feels ten degrees colder than the rest of the room, so he’s got a pretty good idea. Indeed, it is a cooler. Inside is a sixpack with a warning by Ted not to drink it, unless you are Ted.

As Logan downs one beer, he asks who Ted is. The AIM agent replies Ted was on the transfer ship and got sucked into space when Wolverine boarded it.

Oh, then they drink to the loving memory of Ted, Wolverine grins. “So long, Ted, thanks for the memories!

He asks the AIM agent if he wants one. The man curses him out and calls him murderous, mutant scum. Unimpressed, Logan downs the beer. He tosses the can away and remarks he can do better than that. AIM broke into their home, abducted his friends, blew him up… and then he shot him. So, which one of these elevator shafts leads to his friends? The AIM agent refuses to tell. Logan hits the screen of his hood and repeats his question. Do your worst! the AIM agent challenges.

Logan hits and repeats the question several times, until the screen is broken, then he starts hitting his face. Again, the man replies they are in hell, and he hopes Wolverine will join them.

One blow later, he states he’ll talk. He doesn’t believe him, Wolverine replies and hits him again.

Several blows later, the man announces it is the middle shaft. Another two blows for good measure and Wolverine tells him now he has done his good deed of the day.

He kicks in the door to the middle shaft, looks down and jumps, downs another beer on the way down and hits the ground hard.

In front of him, he sees what looks like the glowing face of a MODOK. He realizes the AIM guy lied to him.

Further upward, the AIM guy chuckles.
