ALTERNATE VERSIONS
Madame Hydra was virtually identical to her standard incarnation in the Ultimate Universe. She and Hydra attacked Stark Tower once in an attempt to steal the Iron Man armor. Mary Jane Watson was in the room interviewing Stark for Midtown High, which led to a distraction courtesy of your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Iron Man immediately made short work of the terrorists after suiting up.
Alternate realities often played upon the long-standing relationship between Viper and the Silver Samurai. In the Age of Apocalypse, Viper and Kenuichio were married when Apocalypse’s horde of Infinites attacked the island of Japan. Viper died saving her husband’s life, sending him on the path towards joining Apocalypse’s foes, the X-Men. On the other hand, in the House of M, news reports had Madame Hydra and her terrorist organization claiming responsibility for kidnapped Mariko Harada, daughter of Kenuichio.
On Battleworld, Viper was a resident of the domain known as Killville. She, Kingpin, and the 
Shroud oversaw that lawless domain’s Assassins Guild. When M.O.D.O.K. interfered with and insulted their operation, they rallied the full force of their Guild against the insane scientist. They became uneasy allies as a horde of Mindless Ones invaded the domain, but M.O.D.O.K. impulsively killed the Shroud and cost them the advantage of his darkness. Viper was decapitated by an optic beam from one of the rampaging creatures.
In the Contest of Champions, Grandmaster culled combatants from many alternate universes. Madame Hydra was a telepath whose cephalopod symbiote enabled her to reach into the minds 
of her victims and control them. She was fielded against the Collector’s champions, but both Elders of the Universe were betrayed by their Summoners, Maestro and Punisher 2099. The champions were imprisoned until Punisher could punish them as his wished. Night Thrasher engineered an escape from the dungeons, and Madame Hydra tried to mind control one of the symbiote creatures running through the castle. Unfortunately for her, Maestro used the Isosphere to impose his own stronger will on the mixture, and her head exploded from the conflicting pressure.
